Groupon has been thanked for removing a reference to “bullfighters showing off their skills at the corrida” from a Madrid attractions list.

In an email to Groupon, ICABS pointed out that bullfighting involves slowly torturing a bull with spears and spikes before the bleeding and exhausted animal has a sword plunged into his heart.
“Due to the violent cruelty involved – and due to the fact that many tourists lured in to bullrings leave feeling shocked and disgusted – this should not be promoted as a holiday activity by Groupon,” we stated.
Groupon is the latest in a growing list of companies which have responded positively to our appeals and rejected bullfighting.
